Ten Months

At ten months old Adeline is just over 15 lbs and 28 inches.  She is pulling herself up to standing, sitting herself back down, and very nearly taking her first steps around the furniture.  She has become very purposeful in her play, carefully pulling things apart. putting things inside of or on top of furniture and containers.  She is very chatty although not yet saying any words.

Swings with Daddy who always seems to pick out the pink outfits even though he complains about having pink in her dresser. 

 Getting busy in the kitchen.  She loves to pull everything out and then put it all back in her own way.

Crawling!

Addie is on the move and tearing things apart. Glen and I are busy running after her because the chasing game became fun pretty much immediately. She also loves getting into anything she thinks is off limits. 

Luckily she thinks all this kitchen stuff is off limits. It entertains her long enough to make breakfast and drink coffee. 

Blueberry trouble

Almost nine months! 

Adeline weighs 14.5 lbs and has two bottom teeth.  She eats many many things and is starting to pick things up on her own (most end up on the floor rather than her mouth). Some favorites are banana, sweet potato, yogurt, and blueberry mango smoothie. 

Her new favorite noise is to whoo whoo like a mourning dove.

 She is on the move, nearly crawling, but not quite.  

She really likes helping with the laundry. 

Although, we have different ideas about folding about putting things away.

Her favorite thing to do is empty things: drawers, baskets, table tops, shelves, anything she can reach.  

Yes, she can open that drawer all on her own. 

Boxes and new toys, oh boy!

Addie is finally old enough to open her own boxes. This one came from Seattle. 

Paper is a favorite.

A box! The box remained a favorite for many days. 

The toy was pretty great too. It was perfect timing as she is starting to love undoing things (like stacks of toys). She also loves to empty her toy basket. We are still working on putting it all back.

 Adeline's second visit to a farm.  We finally remembered to bring the camera.

Busy Girl

We had a big week here.  Adeline got her first tooth (bottom right).  She also started opening her mouth for food and is happily eating anything with a smooth texture. She has been napping in the crib for about two weeks now!  And as you can see, she is starting to really play and explore.  This morning she rolled right across the nursery and pulled a book off the shelf.
